The industry-standard liability cargo insurance coverage offered by all LTL carriers booked through us is $0.10 cents per pound. That doesn’t cover the value of most shipments, so we offer our customers the ability to purchase supplementary freight insurance.
It is important to inspect your package at the time of delivery and MUST be in the presence of the delivering driver prior to signing the delivery receipt/POD. Damages found MUST be noted on the delivery receipt/POD as ” Content(s) Damaged”, “Box Torn”, “Box has Holes”, etc. If any damages found/reported after the driver has left or after a clear delivery receipt/POD has been signed, the insurance is NOT Valid and is automatically VOIDed by the carrier company.
